AU Information
AU Name: Kravitz de Leone
AU Age: 34 before turning, 25 after - 59 total.
Physical Differences: Kravitz is not very different save the new callouses on his hands from conducting and playing the cello more often.
AU History: Born originally a bastard to a very minor noblewoman, Kravitz was the conductor to a minor mortal king's orchestra (the king served as his sponsor); he was selected for the school after impressing a vampire dignitary with his compositions and dignity, and all the king's horses and all the king's men could not stop vampires from collecting their prize. He was secretly glad to be free of so little-known a kingdom, and settled naturally into the role of a novice, soon revealing himself to be something of a prodigy of undeath. He passed all his subjects with relative ease, but seemed aloof and distant the whole time, setting him apart from his colleagues, due to a natural shyness.
AU Personality: Kravitz is anxious, self-conscious, and holds himself to a higher standard than most in the Red Court. He is dutiful and relatively rigid in terms of structure. He is deeply introverted, but a good person, and a good teacher. He is nice to his students, snooty and stuck-up towards his coworkers, and would always rather be surrounded by music.
This is all because Kravitz is, especially unusually for his court, shy and hates getting angry. He doesn't like to be seen out of control, ever. This is why he's so rigorous and believes in structure; he's basically afraid of lack of control. He doesn't like his peers because they tend to be more chaotic than he prefers.
In canon, Kravitz was the Grim Reaper, a bounty hunter for Death. He maintained the books of the dead and order of natural life; now he may only maintain the role and order of the musical arrangements, but he takes it no less seriously. He is Lawful Neutral in the extreme, and he doesn't like when things even have a chance of going wrong. He will double, triple, and quadruple reinforce his plans, so he always has a backup.
When things do go wrong, he tends to get upset. He doesn't like it, but he IS Red Court, and his anger flares strongly when plans slip. He's not likely to be violent immediately, but he burns cold, and often says things he later regrets. His violent streak EXISTS, but is limited to true threats.
Despite all this, he's not all serious all the time. All work and no play is not his thing. He likes to relax, even with others as long as they're close. Sometimes he even pranks people he doesn't like! Lydia, for instance. He does tend to escalate when he's not being careful and rigid, though.
In both canon and AU, Kravitz is male-attracted, probably bi, but that is never stated. He is vengeful yet quiet. He is strong, he is clever, and he is manipulative. He's not a particularly good guy!
